Kearney Bound prepares first-generation and income eligible students from North Platte High School, Lexington High School, Kearney High School, and Kearney Catholic High School to achieve excellence through knowledge, character, and commitment. This is achieved through academic counseling and support, leadership, personal development, and financial assistance to attend the University of Nebraska Kearney. Students are selected at the end of their 9th grade year and supported through college graduation.
KB Scholars will aim to acquire new innovative knowledge by achieving academic success both inside and outside the classroom.
KB Scholars will make moral and ethical decisions, promote honesty, and carry themselves with integrity.
KB Scholars will demonstrate motivation to participate and fulfill the obligations set by their respective high school, the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Kearney Bound.
